The leader is vining... I mean his vine is indeed growing. It is about 2 feet from the base roots now and looking good. He's even had a couple of blooming male flowers! No females on his vine yet, but if he's healthy enough for just pollenation purposes that is good enough for me. We can use every man we can get in there.
The two female flowers did not open this monring. They remained closed. I guess female are a one time opportunity and only for a few short hours. Once they close do they upon again? These didn't. Hopefully this means they are pollenated already and don't need to.
