Yep, just as a thought. The female flower close to the gate did open. It was very cold this morning and the bees were no where to be found. Time to take matters into my own hands again. I used two male flowers from the same vine to pollenate the lone flower... gotta double up the chances to insure success. Unlike the farmers out there who have many, many plants - I've only got these 16 plants. And so far, the pumpkin to plant ratio is not too good. The other five are looking okay. I know with all the rain and storms we've had lately, the pumpkins have been drinking it all up.
