Pumpkin Growers BlogAugust 29, 2008Steady progress on the established group of Jess, Nancy, Amber, and Lisa. Shocker Mae is growing well. Some new arrivals in the patch. My son and I found one of the new pumpkins close to the wooden fence -- very close to Lisa. I let my son name it. He's called it 'Squiggle'. I'm not sure why. We then started looking around and came across a new one close to Zelda, Amber, and Sonic. It is very suspended across some vines, it is coming from a very long vine that had no other action on it. We both are calling it 'Wow'. Mostly because of the amazement of it growing where it is. Leader's female bud is outside the fence and getting bigger. I have to remind the wife not to mow over it tomorrow when she cuts the grass. |
