Pumpkin Growers Blog

The leaves are dying! I'm not sure what is going on. Is it the season? Maybe I put too much fungicide on the plants the last time I laid it on. I'm thinking I might have. The leaves are turning yellow and brown. This could just be a seasonal change, but I don't think so. It could also be the result of the powder mildew disease again.
Pumpkins are growing everywhere, so maybe they won't need they leaves much longer anyways. I'll have to consult an expert on this, possibly a greenhouse worker.
Claire is starting to grow a little.
More of the others are all turning orange. With the leaves dying off, the pumpkins are easier to see now.
Leader's pumpkin is growing outside the fence.
I've got another new pumpkin growing, this one is off of this REALLY thick vine that just shot off from the plant near Amber. I didn't get a chance to see this female flower, but it had to have been BIG. The flower has not died yet and the ball under it is very large.
Maybe this is the big one I've been waiting for.
I was going to call her Bertha, but my son's friend Paige asked if I could name it after her.
Well, okay, I'll call it Paige. Paige the Pumpkin. That works!
