Well, we’re approaching the second week of September and we all know what that means… COSTUME TIME!

Whether you make your own or purchase online now is the time to start planning your Halloween costume.

Do you enjoy dressing up? Deep down, we all like to pretend we’re someone we’re not. This is where all the monsters, superheroes, pirates, and other costumes available come in.

What do you prefer – scaring kids as a creepy ghost or goblin? Slinging webs as a friendly neighborhood Spiderman? Almost any costume you can imagine can be created (There are soooo many tutorials on YouTube), rented or bought these days.

So what are you going as this Halloween? A fancy dress costume or something a little more terrifying? I have to say that fancy dress is not my style. A frightening creature of the night is much more up my alley (and a dark and scary alley it is!) but this year I think I will break with tradition and go Marvel and build a Black Widow costume.

Looking through the web for inspiration is really easy especially with Pinterest. New technology keeps creating better ways of making costumes, and they’re getting more and more realistic all the time. Following links will often give you a supply list for building a costume on a budget. Why reinvent the wheel, when others are online helping you out.

Here’s just a fraction of what I found on Pinterest:

With my digging, I found materials lists and instructions… I even found Avenger arm patches!

No matter what kind of costume you might be looking for, there’s no place like the internet to find a great selection. There are plenty of websites that can point you in the right direction to build a costume and many others that sell costumes, and you can put together exactly what you’re looking for at a surprisingly good price.

Don’t wait until too close to Halloween though – the early shopper gets the worm costume!
